Are you looking for a new role with a brand-new store, where you can lead the way as a Retail Store Manager? Hectic People are working closely with a local lifestyle brand to find someone to join a central Bristol location on a permanent, full-time basis.
They are a supportive, collaborative, and independent retail brand based in Bristol, with sustainability at the forefront of what they do. They hand-pick the right brands for their store that set the tone across the business. They pride themselves on developing a retained customer base that they develop long-term relationships with. It’s important to them to find someone that has the same values as they do and can work collectively with their other team members and those at their sister company. The company are always looking at new ways of doing things and welcome continuous improvement suggestions from their team.
The ideal Retail Store Manager will have previous experience working in a similar role with a premium brand and share the company’s aspirations. You will lead by example and be able to inspire others, love working in sales and be able to nurture a productive and motivated team. Perhaps you might have experience as a Retail Manager, Store Manager, Shop Manager, Retail Supervisor or Store Operations Manager.

About the role- Retail Store Manager
The Retail Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the store, bringing the brands that they sell to life as well as nurturing, motivating and managing a small team of Sales Assistants, whilst living the company values. You will be reporting into the Brand Director and have opportunities to take on further responsibilities as the store grows.
The main responsibilities for the Retail Store Manager role include but are not limited to:
- Executing the retail strategy
- Planning and running captivating visual merchandising campaigns
- Managing store security
- Creating a welcoming environment for customers
- Planning the weekly and monthly work schedules, ensuring effective utilisation of resources
- Taking part in and delivering actions in quarterly leaders meetings
- Ensuring the team are fully trained and knowledgeable on all products to maximise sales
- Leading effective team communication and management
- Owning the store’s P&L and sales performance
- Plan and deliver company events that are on brand and engaging
- Stock management
- Keeping UpToDate with the trading calendar and helping to prepare for product launch activities
- Attending company events when required
- Providing feedback to management to drive continuous improvements
