Turing.com is looking to hire a DevOps Engineer on behalf of one of the fastest-growing technology companies active in the media and marketing space. As an engineer, you will join a small, highly experienced engineering team to build a global product used by medium to large enterprises in the news, journalism, and visual marketing industries. The company has developed a freelancer management system, along with a high-tech platform catering to a wide variety of clientele, including Fortune 500 brands, freelance content professionals, and some of the world’s leading media companies. This role offers a long-term opportunity for the candidate and requires a time overlap with PST.
Job Responsibilities:
Implement quality web engineering
Take the lead on efforts to improve the systems orchestration, design, and implementation of several aspects of the infrastructure with support from experienced engineers
Work on standardizing the production management, QA, and development environments
Facilitate continuous integration pipelines and test frameworks from development to production
Integrate and monitor performance analytics to identify and apply meaningful solutions
Stay up to date on some of the recent industry developments
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 4-5+ years of relevant AWS experience and as a DevOps Engineer
Ability to orchestrate Amazon systems
Comfortable working extensively on software and the common elements of a LAMP stack infrastructure
Must-have solid expertise with Amazon, CloudFormation, or other infrastructure management tools in AWS
Strong familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) ecosystem
Experience with scalable orchestration and configuration management (CloudFormation, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, etc.)
Hands-on expertise with continuous deployment & continuous integration tools (CodePipeline, Jenkins, Git, Blue/Green)
Strong understanding of network configuration (ACLs, VPCs, etc.)
Demonstrable experience with database/cache technologies (MySQL, Redis, Lucene / Search DBs, NoSQL)
Familiarity with web supporting technologies (CDNs, Queues, Apache/Nginx, Varnish)
Sound knowledge of security concepts and identity management (SSL, HIDS, NIDS, DDOS mitigation, LDAP, AD, SSO)
