Due to continued expansion our client has an immediate vacancy for a sitebased Quantity Surveyor for our recently started Residential Contract at Devoy Barracks in Naas for the Land Development Agency. The ideal candidate will be degree qualified QS or Construction Technician and will have some site or Industry experience in a similar capacity will have strong communication and IT skills and will be energetic and motivated.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support; keeping records timesheets variations records day works records etc.
  • Materials Management: Liaising with the Site Manager and Purchasing Manager (at head office) to ensure correct specification quality and quantity of materials are on site as and when required checking all deliveries for same supervising the issue of materials to ensure wastage is kept to an absolute minimum. Adhoc takeoff and compiling schedules of materials for order and record purposes. Carrying out valuation tick charts and materials inventories for monthly payment valuations and for subcontractor payments.
  • Assistant Supervisor; Assist in supervision monitoring and management of site operatives both direct and subcontractors.
  • Quantity Surveying; Take off quantities from drawings for materials ordering assist in preparation of valuations (both main contractor and subcontractor) and record all variations (time and materials). General support to Officebased QS reporting and recording all information as required from the site.
  • Health & Safety; Assist in the induction of site operatives assist in carrying out H&S audits and monitor and manage adherence to PPE requirements.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload / excellent time management.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Some previous experience in a similar capacity
  • Strong IT skills
  • Careerminded energetic and enthusiastic.

This role is currently vacant (immediate start).

Salary: TBA / commensurate with experience.

Duration : 3 Year Contract / Permanent.
