An exciting opportunity has arisen at FRP Technologies based at our site in Coleshill. FRP works across multiple sectors and provides products and services including prototyping to the medical automotive and aerospace industries and we are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Team. Our Coleshill site focuses on the automotive work.
We are recruiting for an experienced Quality Control Inspector who can take responsibility for inspection and approval of incoming goods and components and inprocess Quality Control of assemblies using suitably maintained metrology equipment.
The ideal candidate will be able to use engineering measuring tools including verniers micrometres gauges CMM and FARO arm amongst others.
Key aspects of the role will include:
Conducting detailed inspections of machined components and assemblies to ensure they meet specified standards.
Documenting inspection results and maintaining detailed records of all quality checks.
Collaborating with crossfunctional teams to address any quality concerns or deviations from established standards.
Participating in root cause analysis and corrective actions to resolve quality issues.
Handling measurement samples for storage and archiving.
Ensuring that measurement equipment is maintained and within calibration.
The role will involve regular contact with customers and other team members and we are looking for a confident individual who can adhere to instruction policies protocols and other provisions of the quality management system of the business whilst ensuring that proper recordkeeping is maintained.
You must be able to demonstrate operational flexibility the agility in response to change patience and have the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Experience / Qualifications:
Good written and verbal communication skills
Basic engineering background
Quality Control Assistance / Quality Control Technician
Entry level engineering role / entry level technician role / incoming goods controller / entry level metrology
Advanced apprenticeship / NVQ 3 / Vocational A Level / BTEC cert / Diploma / AS / A2 levels in technical engineering or science related training
Desirable:
Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
