TechnoFunctional ServiceNow Developer

Work at a location that is virtual to the PTC. Occasionally some team members will need tobe able to come in person as needed. Notravel expenses will be paid.



Justification: The PTC is issuing this request for a TechnoFunctional ServiceNow resourcewith a solid mixture of technical and functional skills to accomplish the goalsand requirements of the PTC. This resource will work alongside other PTCteam members and contractors as they are working on other ServiceNow projectsand requests. The duration of thisengagement will begin on approximately January 22 2024 and will continue forapproximately 12 months with a possibility for a longer engagement.

This resource must be able to take an assigned request orproject and take charge of that request or project performing all duties andresponsibilities to fully implement the changes needed. This individual is to be wellrounded andknowledgeable in all aspects of delivering a service within ServiceNow.

A good team member will be one who can meet with thebusiness to understand and document the functional and business needs plusunderstand the underlying technology for each assigned request and project and beable to work on delivering the solution with minimal supervision in an Agileenvironment. In addition the individualresource must understand the direction and roadmap that ServiceNow has for itsplatform and will assist in aligning the PTC s ServiceNow instance to followthat roadmap.

Descriptionof Duties

This position is expected to function in a veryindependent manner therefore the duties are described in greater detail thanother requests. This document can beused to make sure expectations are communicated and met when the resourcestarts.

This TechnoFunctional ServiceNow individual will:

Beassigned Request Items Tasks and/or Projects to complete in a selfdirectedand semiindependent manner. All workmust be completed with quality and in a timely manner.

Coordinate and take the lead role for thetechnical/functional development and support of the assigned ServiceNowrequests projects and tasks.

Host sprint planning sessions and provide time andresource estimates to the PTC before work begins.

Plan releases into PROD around the sprint delivery dates.

Ensure a mutual understanding of the request and theproposed approach/response between both the PTC and the Contractor beforebeginning work on a request.

Coordinate and execute alldevelopment aspects including reports integrations interfaces conversionprograms database design and creation and enhancements.

Document requirements or userstories in detail as determined by the PTC (within Azure Dev Ops (ADO)).

Perform technical functions thatare within the scope of this position. These include but are not limited to configuring coding testingwriting automated test scripts using ATF data loads and scripting.

Document the progress and otherdetails relating to the work being performed within the appropriate PTC sMicrosoft Azure DevOps (ADO) record.

Record requirements or user stories within the PTC sMicrosoft Azure DevOps (ADO) system as directed by the PTC for testing andrequirement traceability purposes.

Createtesting plans and test scripts as needed to ensure proper operation of therequested change enhancement or program as directed by the PTC.

Perform and/or coordinate the Unit System IntegrationUser Acceptance and other testing as specified by the PTC following the PTC sIT Quality Management Playbook (playbook to beprovided upon start of work).

Document and demonstrate the changes(Showbacks) as directed plus present the change at the PTC s Change ReviewBoard meetings.

Work with the PTC system administration team to have thechanges code and peer reviewed then implemented into PROD.

Work at the direction of and report to the PTC s CBSVaried Team Supervisor or designee.

Provide documentation and knowledge transfer on thechanges as requested by the PTC. Plusprovide guidance and support to the application support team as needed fortroubleshooting issues or answering questions as directed by the PTC.

Perform tasks andother duties as assigned by the PTC.

Otherrequirements and expectations

All deployments must follow theServiceNow Low Code capabilities or use standard configuration changes that followServiceNow s Best Practices. Where theLow Code and/or Best Practice configuration changes will not satisfy therequest an escalation to the PTC s IT leadership is required before proceedingwith any custom coding/configuration.

Contractor resources are expected to have cameras on forvirtual meetings and need to be available to come to PTC s offices foremergency and during critical phases for the project. No travel expense will beprovided for this.

Work and be available to the PTC from 8:00 am to 5:00pm Eastern Time on any day the PTC CAB is open for business (usually Mondaythru Friday). PTC will consideralternate work schedules on a casebycase basis. Meetings with PTC staff generally will needto be scheduled 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Thursday and Friday on acasebycase basis.

Work at a location that is virtual to the PTC. Occasionally some team members will need tobe able to come in person as needed. Notravel expenses will be paid.

All resources shall be located within the 48 ContinentalUnited States. There are no Offshoreopportunities within this SOW.

Selected resources will also be required to come to PTCoccasionally for team building and/or inperson meeting opportunities. No travel expense will be provided for this.

Contractor shall abide by all PTC policies and IT standards. IT Standards are published at while PTC Policies are published at Contractor mustfamiliarize themselves with these policies and standards.

MinimumExperience

Equivalentcombination of education and/or experience may be accepted.

5 years experience as a Business Analysis for supporting ServiceNow business processes.

5 years experience with designing business processes for ServiceNow implementation.

At least onehandson ServiceNow implementation project as a functional or technical lead

At least twoprior support and enhancements project as a functional or technical lead.

2 years experience coding and configuration ServiceNow.

Proficient in theMicrosoft Office 365 suite of business software including Teams Word Exceland PowerPoint plus proficient in Microsoft ADO Testing Module.

Proficient inITIL practices and methodologies.

DesiredSkillset

The idealcandidate will have 8 or more years of expertise in delivering services viaServiceNow for projects of various sizes and subject matters.

The idealcandidate will have 5 or more years of experience in delivering ServiceNowservices as described within this request.

Ability to workindependently to accomplish the tasks and duties assigned.

Demonstrated exceptional critical thinking andproblemsolving skills.

Additionalbeneficial skills include:

EnterpriseBusiness Solutions specifically SAP projects.

ITIL / ITSMpractices and methodologies.

Certifications/ Education

AllTechnofunctional resources must hold one or more of the following ServiceNowcertifications:

o CISITSM(Certified Implementation Specialist) OR

o CSA(Certified System administrator) OR

o ServiceNowCertified Developer.
