Project Manager

Job Overview

As a Project Manager you will play a pivotal role in steering our ecommerce design team towards success. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure efficient and effective project execution within the design team which includes senior designers a design director a lead designer an art director a content strategist & copywriter and a UX team with two researchers. You will work crossfunctionally with product managers to assist in the execution of product initiatives utilizing design resources.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daytoday project activities to meet business objectives coordinating with a diverse team including designers strategists and UX researchers.
• Ensure tickets in Jira have background info and acceptance criteria and team members have necessary requirements to complete the task.
• Collaborate with product managers to ensure the design backlog is prioritized and sequenced to product initiatives.
• Monitor and enforce timelines related to ticket resolutions align the teams plan to the product sprint and ensure project milestones are met.
• Identify and address gaps and inefficiencies in the current process collaborating with the team for continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement new processes to enhance productivity and efficiency within the team.
• Serve as a liaison between the design team and the Technical Program Manager ensuring alignment with broader company goals.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration within the team product management and with external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in managing ecommerce or digital projects preferably in an agile designfocused environment.
• Strong understanding of project management tools like Jira with an emphasis on the software development lifecycle.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills able to work collaboratively across different departments.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple concurrent projects effectively.
• Understanding of agile development methodologies Scrum and ecommerce technologies.

Nice to have:

• Prior experience in an eCommerce environment.
• Familiarity with Design/Creative and UX team methodologies content management systems and ecommerce platforms.
• Familiarity with design tooling like Figma Adobe Creative Cloud and Zeplin
