Program Management Support - Nigeria Transit Project

Overview

1. Term: 12 to 18 months

Role

The resource will leverage local market project management project delivery experience and subject matter expertise (see qualifications below) to drive progress on a timely basis across the three program phases below:

Phase 1: Program assessment & planning

• Develop a thorough understanding of the Client business and priorities
• Acceptance solution / acquiring setup
• Issuance play
• Design
• Project Management Office (PMO)
• Project governance (e.g. structure reporting cadence)
• Develop and syndicate an implementation plan
• Initiatives (e.g. timelines resources stakeholders interdependencies)

Phase 2: Program launch

• Operationalize the PMO and governance structure acting as a control tower to (a) improve speed and quality of decision making and (b) drive progress visvis the implementation plan
• Coordinate resources across Mastercard Client and third parties to ensure timely progress versus the implementation plan

Phase 3: Monitoring and ongoing analysis of progress

• Track progress versus the implementation plan (e.g. escalations and revisions as necessary)

Qualifications / expectations required

• Project management experience in a payment and or transit context
• Transit payment digitization experience is a plus
• Payment experience and expertise in particular
• Acquiring (card present and payment gateway solutions)
• Issuance
• Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus
• Excellent clientfacing and internal communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
• Bachelors Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
