We are seeking a talented and motivated Product Stewardship Engineer to join our team in Madison Wisconsin. In this role you will play a crucial role in assessing the environmental impact and sustainability of products throughout their life cycle.
This is a remote position. However candidates in the Madison/Milwaukee and Chicago areas are preferred.
About Rumzer: Our mission is to help manufacturers to easily and cost effectively comply with global environmental regulations such as EU RoHS REACH California Prop 65 PFAS CE marking and other global regulations. We do this using the best software technology and talented professionals. You will lead LCA projects for our clients.
Core Responsibilities
* Conduct life cycle assessments (LCAs) for manufacturers producing complex engineered assemblies.
* Analyze data related to materials production transportation energy usage carbon emissions and endoflife considerations.
* Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to optimize product design and minimize environmental impact.
* Develop reports and recommendations based on LCA findings.
* Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in life cycle analysis methodologies.
Requirements
* An undergraduate degree in mechanical electrical or other relevant engineering discipline.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in life cycle analysis or related environmental assessment work.
* Proficiency in LCA software tools and data analysis.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Experience in new product development/design is preferred.
* Candidates with openLCA experience are encouraged to apply.
