Pre Book - Emma Nordmeyer - VT - Charge Nurse - Morrisville - Copley Hospital

The Charge Nurse serves as the onsite administrative representative for clinical and managerial functions during offshifts weekends and holidays. In collaboration with Department Heads s/he provides leadership consultation and collaboration in a dynamic multidisciplinary environment and is the primary back up for front managers in their absence. The Charge Nurse plans for leads coordinates and facilitates the provision of quality care and service from a hospitalwide shiftspecific perspective in a manner that fosters accomplishment of the specific Department s goals and objectives. The Charge Nurse is responsible for issues related to staffing patient/family relations risk management clinical coordination patient placement public affairs and communications evaluation and mentoring. Ensures appropriate distribution and allocation of supplies/equipment and provides for adequate numbers and mix of staff to deliver appropriate clinical services to the patients served.
