Position Name
Responsible for Profit & Loss of the Facility (P&L). Oversees the manufacturing process and teams. Works together with staff and top management to ensure products are manufactured to quality standards and adheres to other safety/industryrelated regulations. Driving the companywide continuous improvement effort to maximize safety quality reliability and cost reduction of manufacturing. Accomplishing budget commitments operating plans and plant deployment objectives. Supporting the Mission Vision Values and Autoliv Key Behaviors through daily actions & decisions to become an effective agent of change. Ensuring environmental compliance and safety corporate goals are achieved. Leading promoting educating and instilling a culture of Zero Defects throughout the plant organization by following standard work and specifications and by utilizing Lean Manufacturing concepts including information boards visual indicators pitch bypitch tracking and other appropriate tools and techniques. Guiding the AMG teams to improve Safety and Environmental goals to improve customer service through good manufacturing practices with managing total cost quality and ontime delivery through analysis of data and improving team member performance. Providing leadership consistency in implementing best demonstrated practices across all areas of the plant. Fostering an environment of teamwork across departments functions and roles. Accountability for the communication effectiveness and support of the team. This includes the acquisition filtering and distribution of relevant information. Support peers business units design engineers and related departments by building networks sharing successes tools and knowledge. Reporting: Team of 10 direct managers report
Bachelor of Science degree preferably in Manufacturing Engineering other. MBA preferred. 3 to 5 years of experience as a Plant Manager or equivalent Automotive preferred Strong communication skills both written and verbal are required (English and Spanish). Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing concepts is preferred. Techniques for quality control costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of products. Excellent communicator able to work with in multifunctional team. Proven experience in managing safety and environment production efficiency visual management manufacturing systems equipment utilization delivery performance product quality budget and cost controls is strong desired. Adept in using PC tools including Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and Project. Proven problemsolving skills. Motivated disciplined organized ability to lead analytical attention to details commitment to excellence communicate effectively competitive customer orientation enthusiastic global thinking innovative integrity leadership skills negotiation skills problem solving result oriented selflearning selfmotivated strategy and planning technical orientation willing to travel drive customer focus manage execution
