August 2024 Start The school founded in 2016 is a K12 international school located at the foot of the picturesque and historic YuQuan Mountain Haidian District in Beijing. The campus is 200000 square meters of beautiful gardens that integrate natural ecology cultural heritage and modern beauty with 140000 square meters of green space.

The school curriculum is organized into the Primary School grades K5 the Middle School grades 68 and High School grades 912. Under the guidance of the Ministry of Educations nineyear compulsory education program the curriculum is built on the strength from both Chinese and western education.
For Primary and Middle School the school follows a bilingual program using the US Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards along with the Chinese National Curriculum. For High School the school follows the US Common Core and College Board AP curriculum and also offers the UK IGCSE and ALevel UK programs.

Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Physics Teacher to join our dynamic faculty at International School located in China. As a Physics Teacher you will be responsible for delivering highquality instruction in physics to students at the secondary level. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in an international setting fostering crosscultural learning experiences and academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and deliver engaging and rigorous physics curriculum for secondary students aligned with international standards and the schools educational objectives.
2. Create innovative lesson plans instructional materials and assessments that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom.
3. Utilize various teaching methodologies including handson experiments demonstrations multimedia resources and interactive activities to enhance student understanding and critical thinking skills.
4. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning mutual respect and academic growth.
5. Employ effective classroom management techniques to promote a safe and supportive learning atmosphere.
6. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their academic progress assignments and assessments and communicate with parents/guardians regarding student performance and achievements.
7. Collaborate with colleagues within the science department and across disciplines to integrate interdisciplinary approaches and enhance the overall educational experience.
8. Participate in faculty meetings professional development sessions and schoolwide events to contribute to the school community and stay informed about best practices in education.
9. Engage in ongoing professional growth and reflective practice to continually improve teaching effectiveness and student outcomes.
10. Support the schools extracurricular activities such as science clubs competitions and field trips to enrich the student experience beyond the classroom.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelors degree in Physics Education or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
2. Teaching certification/license in Physics or Secondary Education from a recognized institution.
3. Minimum of 23 years of teaching experience preferably in an international school setting.
4. Profound knowledge of physics concepts principles and applications across various branches including mechanics electromagnetism thermodynamics optics and modern physics.
5. Familiarity with international curricula such as IB (International Baccalaureate) IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) or AP (Advanced Placement) Physics.
6. Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
7. Crosscultural competence and the ability to work effectively in a diverse multicultural environment.
8. Commitment to the schools mission values and educational philosophy.
