  1. Medication Dispensing and Compounding:

    • Dispense prescription medications and provide accurate dosage instructions to patients.
    • Compound specialized ophthalmic medications as needed ensuring precise formulations for eye conditions.
  2. Medication Counseling:

    • Educate patients on the proper use of eye medications including dosage administration and potential side effects.
    • Address patient questions and concerns regarding their medications and provide advice on managing side effects.
  3. Collaboration with Healthcare Team:

    • Work closely with ophthalmologists optometrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
    • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to discuss treatment plans and patient outcomes.
  4. Medication Management:

    • Oversee medication inventory and ensure the availability of essential ophthalmic drugs.
    • Implement and adhere to medication safety protocols including storage and disposal of medications.
  5. Patient Monitoring:

    • Monitor patients for medication effectiveness and potential adverse reactions.
    • Collaborate with healthcare providers to adjust medication regimens based on patient response and clinical outcomes.
  6. Quality Assurance:

    • Implement and maintain quality assurance programs related to pharmaceutical services.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards for pharmaceutical care in eye hospitals.
  7. Patient Record Keeping:

    • Maintain accurate and uptodate patient medication records.
    • Document interventions recommendations and communication with healthcare providers regarding medication management.
  8. Continuing Education:

    • Stay updated on the latest developments in ophthalmic pharmacology and medications.
    • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance knowledge and skills related to eye care.
  9. Patient Advocacy:

    • Advocate for patient safety and optimal medication therapy outcomes.

  10. Adherence Counseling:
