Operator

The purpose of this position is to ensure that product handling is done according to specification.

Skills :

• Performing daily stock dips of tanks
• Responsible for tanker loading and offloading
• Ensure product samples are taken
• Responsible for the transferring of product between tanks
• Complete blends and add antioxidants
• Manage filter and man hose exchanges
• Responsible for pump operation
• Ensure product transfer lines are cleared
• Recording of all stock movement
• Ensure relevant documentation accompanies deliveries to clients
• Responsible for the daily inspection and emptying of pits
• Perform sampling as per company requirements
• Maintain cleanliness and safety practices

Health and Safety

• Participate in safety forums created by Soill for example safety meetings and safety talks
• Followup on any activities assigned through safety meetings / committees / representatives / management
• Report all safety incidents to the relevant people
• Attend safety education and refresher programmes
• Comply with safety policies and procedures at Soill
• Distribute safety information as and when required
• Wear protective clothing (where applicable) at all times
