Operations Manager

• Middle mile, Internal, Start to end domestic
  

• Responsible for the whole transportation process.
  

• Distribute the transportation plan for drivers to assure that they are following the plan.
  

• Follow up with drivers for any complaints or problems and solve it.
  

• Follow up with clients and solve their complaints.
  

• Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all vehicles and equipment in the Distribution Center.
  

• Implements and monitors a preventative maintenance program to assure cost effective maintenance.
  

• Analyze maintenance costs and provide recommendations on fleet utilization and replacements.
  

• Ensure the maintenance records for the fleet are accurate and up-to-date through recording of all expenditures for each vehicle, maintenance equipment, fuel, repair parts, supplies, etc..
  

• Negotiate service agreements to ensure cost efficiencies.
  

• Maintain safe working conditions, monitoring parts inventory and ordering as needed.
  

• Plan/develop and execute a vehicle and equipment replacement schedule.
  

• Communicate maintenance requirements to ensure maximum efficiency and implement corrective actions as required.
  

• Ensure timely delivery of customer authorizations to relevant department
  

• Review authorizations for toll station transfers for discrepancies with suppliers
  

• Verify compliance of transfer permissions with agreed delivery process and customer operating conditions
  

• Conduct regular market visits for all customers
  

• Provide weekly reports based on market observations

• Work towards achieving company objectives and standards.
  

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related fields.
  
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in operations management.
  
• In-depth knowledge of operations management principles and practices, such as production planning, supply chain management, and quality control
  
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  
• Ability to manage and train staff
  
• Experience in Transportation/Logistics Industry is preferred
