Job Description

- Design and lead the implementation of technical tasks of Objective 1.
- Develop and manage the delivery of capacity-building activities to NEPCO's staff in relevant areas including grid management and renewable energy simulation, storage technology, smart grids and long-term planning to conduct load forecast and least cost expansion plans.
- Provide overall strategic direction for implementing initiatives that reduce NEPCO's debt, maximize their revenues, hedge their exposure to international energy prices fluctuations and restructure their organization to maximize operational efficiency.
- Proactively engage with representatives of energy ministries, utilities, and regulators to lead initiatives that increase renewable energy utilization and improve NEPCO's grid management.
- Develop and maintain good partnerships with counterparts on all aspects of Objective 1 interventions.
- Supervise all staff, consultants and subcontractors supporting Objective 1 activities.
- Liaise with the key public and private stakeholders in the power sector and facilitate relevant capacity building workshops and trainings.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
