Nursing Manager Inpatient- Mother Baby and Labor Delivery

Position Summary: The Nurse Manager Inpatient Mother Baby is responsible for assisting leaders with planning directing organizing monitoring and staffing the department subject to policies budgets objectives and directives mandated by regulatory agencies DNV and the hospital administrative team. Develops and implements patient care policies that are based on evidence and/or best practice standards and comply with regulatory requirements. As new nursing knowledge and innovations in practice advance leads their application into practice and ensures standardized implementation across the department by working closely and in collaboration with other department nurse leaders and educators. Minimum Qualifications: Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse) American Heart Association BLS Neonatal Resuscitation Program Provider Electronic Fetal Monitoring Series Certificate of Completion Three years of recent patient care experience Two years of recent healthcare management/supervisory experience with specific Labor & Delivery and PostPartum clinic experience Preferred: MSN Preferred: Certification in Nursing Leadership (AONE or ANCC) Preferred: American Heart Association ACLSEssential Job Functions: Assists leaders with directs broad operations to ensure the provision of comprehensive departmental services in compliance with all regulatory agencies and hospital requirements. Assists leaders to ensure a collaborative departmental approach to operational planning care/service design and development of organizational policies which reflect the mission of the organization. Demonstrates responsible management of all departmental resources. Demonstrates clinical/technical and managerial competency. Shift: Monday Friday in office and 24/7 call responsibility
