Network Designer

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Assessing network performance and optimizing network design for efficiency
• Collaborating with crossfunctional teams to identify and resolve network issues
• Developing network standards and protocols for seamless communication
• Implementing and maintaining network security measures to protect against cyber threats
• Conducting network capacity planning and expansion activities
• Performing network technology evaluations and making recommendations for improvement
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive network documentation
• Providing technical guidance and support to junior team members
• Participating in network infrastructure design and architecture discussions
• Troubleshooting network problems and implementing solutions
• Coordinating with vendors and service providers to optimize network services
• Participating in network upgrade and migration projects
• Conducting regular network performance monitoring and reporting
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Network Designer or a similar role
• Professional certifications such as CCNP CCDP or equivalent
• Indepth knowledge of network protocols and technologies (e.g. TCP/IP BGP OSPF)
• Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices
• Proficiency in routing and switching technologies
• Experience with network design tools and software (e.g. Cisco DNA Center SolarWinds)
• Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills
• Ability to work in a dynamic and fastpaced environment
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities
• Experience with cloud networking (e.g. AWS Azure) is a plus
• Proven track record of successful network design and implementation projects
• Knowledge of SDWAN and virtualization technologies
• Familiarity with network automation and scripting languages (e.g. Python Ansible)
• Understanding of Quality of Service (QoS) principles and implementation
