JOB TITLE: MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN HOUSTON TX

The Position: The Maintenance Technician is and nbsp;responsible for carrying out various maintenance tasks, in the manufacturing environment. They inspect and repair equipment and carry out preventive maintenance to ensure that industrial equipment remains operational.


The Duties: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing equipment failure analysis to complete preventative and unscheduled maintenance. Troubleshoots and diagnosis equipment problems as well as a wide range of ongoing repair tasks around the facility, including:

  • Essential support functions in maintaining the production machines and the plant facility s equipment.
  • You will disassemble and troubleshoot any equipment when there is a problem that is hindering production.
  • Check the performance of the different pieces of machinery, ensuring that they run correctly and that they are not hindering the operations of the plant.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance records as well as review and follow-up equipment has returned to operation.
  • Schedule repairs of and nbsp;faulty equipment.
  • Check the performance of machinery, perform basic diagnostics, and test damaged machine parts to make repairs that are necessary.

The Responsibilities: The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for and nbsp;conducting assessments of equipment in our manufacturing facilities including highly-automated systems in working order. This position will carry out precautionary mechanical upkeep and testing, as well as the functions below:

  • To troubleshoot and fix manufacturing and /or facility equipment that breaks down.
  • You will install, repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment as well as completing preventative maintenance.
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation
  • Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.
  • Determines changes and requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments.
  • Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders.
  • Trains production workers on routine preventative maintenance
  • Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
  • Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.


The Qualifications: The Maintenance Technician must have the following minimum qualifications to be initially considered for the position:

and nbsp; and nbsp; and nbsp; and nbsp; and nbsp; and nbsp; and nbsp; and nbsp;Has an associate degree or equivalent experience (Mechanical or Electrical preferred). 3+ years of experience as a maintenance equipment and / or facility technician.

  • In-depth knowledge of plumbing, electrical repair, maintenance, repairs on hydraulic / pneumatic systems, various maintenance related testers and gauges.
  • familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations
  • skilled and analyzing information and creating reports.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time with limited breaks.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and team lift up to 150 pounds.
  • Must be able to work at elevated heights.
  • Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment.
  • Ability to work well with others as an effective team member.
  • Experience in the following fields is preferred; Close loop cooling water, Clean dry air systems, Fume exhaust scrubbers, High purity water plus Wastewater systems, High pressure gas systems (cryogenic gas), and forklift experience.
  • Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours and weekends based on project requirement.
  • Work involves frequent periods of standing and walking, which may include climbing ladders and staircases.
