Mechanical Engineer - Thermal Design

Tasks

3Brain is looking for a fulltime Mechanical Engineer Thermal Design for its Swiss office. You will be an integral part of our dynamic engineering team contributing to the development of cuttingedge products with a focus on efficient thermal management and dissipation of heat for machines designed for operation in cell incubators.

Main responsibilities:

• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to define design requirements and specifications.
• Conduct thermal simulations and analysis to optimize product performance and reliability.
• Design mechanical components ensuring seamless integration with electronics and optimal heat dissipation.
• Design other parts of our products on CAD ensuring compatibility and alignment with overall product design.
• Work closely with electronics engineers to incorporate electronic components into overall product design.
• Perform testing and validation of integrated systems to ensure functionality and adherence to specifications.
• Evaluate and select materials and manufacturing processes suitable for thermal and electronic components.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of product design processes and methodologies.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven and extensive experience in product design demonstrating a strong emphasis on thermal management and electronics integration.
• Exceptional proficiency in CAD software for mechanical design and advanced thermal simulation tools.
• Deep understanding of heat transfer principles thermal management techniques and their application in product design.
• Outstanding problemsolving skills and a creative approach to addressing complex thermal and electronic design challenges.
• Effective communication skills coupled with the ability to collaborate seamlessly within crossfunctional teams.
• Excellent English language skills.
• Applicant must have an EU residence permit.

Additional Qualifications

• Proficiency in FEA software such as ANSYS COMSOL or similar tools.
• Experience with scripting environments such as Python and MATLAB.
• German language knowledge.
