Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description

• Ensure installation and maintenance of electrical equipment, lighting and other appliances
• Calculate power requirements for electrical systems (conductors, protective devices, physical protection)
• Supervise assembly, installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
• Supervise repair or replacement of wiring, equipment and fixtures, using appropriate hand tools and power tools
• Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services
• Ensure application of safety precautions pertaining to safety regulations and procedures
• Comprehend the size and install conduits, conductors, switches, outlets and junction boxes
• Supervise connection of wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes
• Supervise any mechanical or plumbing maintenance works by technicians
• Supervise work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
• Oversee installation of light bulbs, doors, cabinets, panelling
• Oversee replacement of washers, faucets and seals on malfunctioning plumbing equipment; repair of leaky faucets and cleaning of clogged drains; installation and repair of sprinklers
• Oversee wood finishing, painting, and carpentry works
• Maintain a level of ZERO Breakdown for all equipment
• Request purchases for electrical, mechanical and plumbing equipment as and when required
• Conduct periodic maintenance checks of all equipment as per schedule
• Supervise and schedule preventive maintenance of machines
• Supervise dismantling, shifting and assembly of machines from one store to another

Job Requirements

• 4 – 6 years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor
• University degree of Engineering, Architecture/Civil preferable
