Job Description

- Responsible for Planning and implementation of Preventive Maintenance Schedule for all major production equipment and utility equipment.
- Responsible for breakdown maintenance of all equipment.
- Distribution and delegation of maintenance jobs to fitters and electricians.
- Maintenance of equipment history files equipment logs of utilities
- Assembling dismantling and shifting of equipment.
- Providing enough utilities to the manufacturing personnel as per their requirements.
- Ensuring the working conditions of the production equipment before the beginning of manufacturing activity.
- Coordinating with HOD Production for the approval of maintenance work permits.
- Ensure awareness of the quality system among all the personnel in the maintenance department.
- Ensure and report the achievement of the process objectives of the maintenance department to the management
- Performing the qualification of the process equipment
- Monitor the performance of the utilities and initiate actions whenever required.
- Preparation of preventive maintenance plans and ensure timely implementation of preventive maintenance schedule.
- By coordinating with QA Designing the plant Layouts and equipment Layouts.
- Ensure adequate resources for preventive maintenance of all the process equipment.
- Review the breakdown of the machines and ensure that the same is used as a tool for preventive maintenance.
- Ensure that internal audits are conducted as per the annual plan and all actions are taken against the audit findings.
- Ensure that followup audits are conducted as per the annual plan and that all corrective and preventive actions are implemented as mentioned in nonconformance reports raised during the audits.
- To maintain required spare parts for breakdown and preventive maintenance of process equipment and utilities.
- To arrange for testing of boilers and other pressure vessels as per the statutory norms.
- To ensure proper safety measures and arrange the required safety gear while handling electrical equipment and other equipment involving hazards.
- To coordinate with service engineers of the equipment suppliers as required.
- To ensure adequate maintenance and sanitization of the DM Water plant.
- To provide line clearance to production operations after preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance of the equipment.
- Reporting to GM Operations.
