LPN Wound Care

Mobile Health Team Inc. a staffing agency has an opening for a Licensed Practical Nurse(LPN) Wound Care. We are looking for someone with a passion for people.

Assignment Start Date: 4/15/2024

13 weeks Days 8 hour shift 40 hours with 32 hours GTD weekly

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider the Wound Care Center Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides woundrelated and other basic nursing care to the centers patients according to all the WCC and hospital policies and procedures care and safety protocols and Clinical Services Practice Guidelines. They are responsible for working as clinic LPNs maintaining clinic flow for patients and providers. This position serves to primarily assist clinic healthcare providers with patient examinations phone calls treatments and procedures as they may be performed within a clinic setting under the direction of the provider; within the scope of the professional license. This position maintains responsibility for patient medical records and documentation collection and preparation of specimens and administration of medications as ordered by the provider.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

Experience:

• Previous acute or clinical experience is required

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited program for LPNs.

Licenses Certifications and/or Registration:

• Must have Certification/Licensure in the State of Iowa.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS required. New employees certify within three (3) months after the hire date.

EMR System: Meditech experience preferred

Shift: 800a4:30p 2432 hours per week. Days may change per week

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities requirements:

• Basic knowledge of regulatory/accrediting requirements for healthcare organizations.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to multitask and to work in a fastpaced environment.
• A high degree of empathetic listening tact and kindness toward others.
• Ability to communicate well verbally. Must work effectively as a member of a team.
• Basic computer knowledge
• Technical and Critical Thinking Skills about sound nursing judgment
• Knowledge of skilled nursing practices.
