Job Description

Coordinate with all FSUs for timely Programme implementation.
Performing registry-related duties (e.g., bookkeeping, photocopying, messenger services, archiving,
documentation, etc.).
Facilitate the organization and preparation of workshops, meetings, or any event activities that could
be held within the governorate of Beni Suef.
Managing of the project vehicles (car logbook, fueling, car allocation secure parking, etc.)
Facilitate procurement of equipment, furniture and office supplies.
Facilitate the identification of suppliers/vendors and ascertain conditions of purchase and quotations.
Ensure the appropriate delivery of supplies according to the specifications required.
Ensure inventory keeping and updating.
Facilitate and ensure transportation of FSU and PMU staff in a comfortable, safe and timely manner within the areas of intervention of the Programme, particularly in Beni Suef Governorate with possible missions to Assyut and Sohag Governorates.
Facilitate logistics and administrative issues.
Make payment of procured and delivered goods or services.
Make sure of collection of receipts and invoices.
Ensure transportation of FSU and PMU staff in a comfortable, safe and timely manner within the
areas of intervention of the Programme, particularly Beni Suef Governatorate with possible missions
to Assyut and Sohag Governatorates.
Provide safe, timely and comfortable driving services for the staff and visiting delegations.
Fully knowing the vehicle and its equipment.
Knowing the local road network, being able to travel to the address, establishing alternative and
escape routes if necessary, and to organise ahead the route plan for field trips and missions.
Assist the Programme staff in carrying out simple administrative tasks (collecting proformas and
invoices, collecting visas at MoIC, making small purchases and, especially, supporting the payment
of insurance, inspection and licensing of vehicles).
Take full care of the assigned vehicles and comply with their maintenance schedule.
Check, daily, the general condition of the official vehicles to be driven.
Assist, whenever possible, in identifying problems with the official vehicle, under its responsibility.
Keep the vehicle clean.
Properly manage and update the logbook regarding daily trips.
Be responsible for the payment of fines for violation of the Egyptian Traffic Code.
Assume the post at regular hours and maintain due discretion and reserved behavior regarding the
activities of the job.
Be prepared to provide upon request drug and alcohol tests.
Support the FSU with any other tasks that may be required by the PMU staff.


Requirements

-High school diploma. Higher qualifications will be considered when matched with highly qualified professional experience in the sector of intervention.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience as a logistics officer.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience as a driver.
- Experience in field missions, including field visits, interaction with agricultural community.
- Experience in clerk and administrative activities.
- Good in using computers including Microsoft Office programs, spreadsheet, email (outlook) and
internet.
- Age no older (at the time of signing the contract) than that required for retirement by local
regulations.
- Be physically fit to carry out the required functions and annually make a health check.
- Have a valid type B driving license (at the time of signing the contract) which is within its validityperiod.


- University degree in Agriculture, Hydraulic Engineering - Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience working in the field of infrastructures for agriculture, rural development, food security, irrigation in the framework of development programmes. - Solid experience in food security, Good Agriculture Practices (GAPs), irrigation systems and infrastructures. - Previous experience in effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders, government, donors, and implementing partners. - Proficient in using computers including Microsoft Office programs, spreadsheets, email (outlook) and Internet.
