Logistics Officer

We are seeking a highly organized and detailoriented Logistics Officer to join our logistics team. The Logistics Officer will play a critical role in coordinating and optimizing the transportation and distribution of goods ensuring efficiency and costeffectiveness throughout the supply chain. Tasks

• Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the transportation and distribution process including scheduling routing and tracking shipments
• Liaise with suppliers carriers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any logistical issues or delays
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse staff to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize stockouts or overages
• Analyze logistics data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures related to transportation import/export and customs clearance
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation including shipping records bills of lading and customs documents
• Evaluate and negotiate contracts with transportation providers and other logistics service providers to secure favorable terms and pricing
• Provide timely and accurate reports and updates to management on logistics activities performance and key metrics

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field preferred
• Proven experience in logistics transportation or supply chain management
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis and reporting
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Proficiency in logistics software and systems including transportation management systems (TMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software
• Knowledge of international trade regulations customs procedures and import/export documentation preferred
• Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g. CLTD CSCP) is a plus
