The Logistics Manager will oversee and manage the importing and exporting of all products including acquisitions and shipments across North America and the Caribbean.
- Develop an effective and accurate system for monitoring purchase orders.
- Shop, order, and track the purchasing of equipment and supplies needed in the company.
- Deliver weekly purchase order report to supervisors that indicate the invoice numbers for all closed orders.
- Ensure all deliveries satisfy assigned orders and report any back ordered or missing products.
Requirements
- Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel and Outlook
- Strong communicator with supervisors, coworkers, customers and suppliers
- Excellent negotiation skills to obtain the best pricing
- Prior purchasing experience required
- Minimum 3 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing, construction, or distribution environment required
- Bachelor s Degree in logistics, supply chain, or business administration preferred
