Job Overview:

The Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing and directing all facets of logistics operations ensuring the prompt and efficient delivery of automotive components to clients while upholding exceptional standards of customer service. Reporting directly to the senior logistics director for the region.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Supervise Logistics Operations: Supervise activities encompassing customer service material procurement production scheduling warehouse management and administrative functions to guarantee smooth operations.

2. Administration of Customer Portals: Manage customer portals to facilitate effective communication and order processing.

3. Monthly Reporting: Generate and deliver monthly reports on various logistics performance indicators including inventory levels delivery efficiency customer feedback freight expenses and expedited freight usage. Extract actionable insights to support organizational objectives.

4. Optimization of Inventory and Delivery Performance: Maintain outstanding delivery performance while streamlining inventory levels. Monitor inventory metrics such as sales percentage and Days of Coverage striving for ongoing enhancement.

5. Launch Optimization Initiatives: Identify opportunities for streamlining processes and enhancing efficiency. Develop and present optimization proposals overseeing their implementation.

6. Team Supervision: Lead and supervise a team of 5 to 10 logistics professionals delegating responsibilities monitoring progress and ensuring operational effectiveness.

7. Documentation and Training: Ensure comprehensive documentation of logistics procedures and facilitate crosstraining among team members to ensure operational resilience.

8. Continuous Improvement: Spearhead initiatives for ongoing enhancement in logistics operations adhering to ISO/TS 16949 ISO 14001 and HSE standards.

9. Contribution to Management Review Steering Committee: Serve as a member of the Management Review Steering Committee providing insights and recommendations related to logistics operations.

Requirements:

1. Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics Business Administration or a related field. Masters degree preferred.

2. Demonstrated experience in logistics management within the automotive industry with a thorough understanding of automotive logistics processes and requirements.

3. Strong leadership capabilities capable of effectively leading and motivating a team.

4. Exceptional communication and presentation skills enabling effective interaction with stakeholders at all levels.

5. Experience in international supply chain management and thriving in a fastpaced environment.

6. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

7. Extensive experience with MRP software preferably AS400/SAP modules MM & SD.

8. Familiarity with Continuous Improvement methodologies such as Lean Management.

9. Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.
