Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic guidance and commercially-oriented operational legal and compliance support to management/business units/functions
• Advise on a wide array of strategic projects on the corporate and commercial side, including the set up of new presences and the evaluation /implementation of new business models.
• Draft and negotiate commercial contracts with third parties
• Advise on legal & compliance matters, such as drafting, review and negotiation of a wide range of commercial and non-commercial agreements.
• Provide operational support on the daily activities of the local operations, including rendering support to the various functions (HR, Pricing, Regulatory).
• Support and drive the consistent implementation of compliance rules and processes and foster a culture of ethics and compliance across the region deploying various tools.
• Create and update contract templates based on best practices and evolving legal standards to reduce risk and increase efficiency. • Effectively manage relationships with outside counsel to maximize the quality of representation and minimize legal expenses.
• Advising executive members on new laws, existing laws and legal rights that would impact functionality of the business.
• Anticipate and evaluate emerging compliance trends and seek for continuous improvement.
• Deploy at local level Global Corporate Compliance programs and processes.
