Job Overview: Our Client a renowned Law Firm is seeking a highly motivated and results oriented female Lawyer to join their team. You will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and guidance to corporate clients on a wide range of commercial matters. You will collaborate with clients and colleagues to analyse complex legal issues draft legal documents and negotiate business transactions.


Responsibilities:

    • Provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients on commercial law matters including contracts transactions compliance and regulatory issues.
    • Assess and manage legal risks associated with business transactions and propose strategies for risk mitigation.
    • Draft review and negotiate a variety of legal documents including contracts agreements and corporate policies.
    • Conduct legal research and analysis to ensure clients are informed of relevant laws regulations and industry practices.
    • Ensure contracts are properly structured contain appropriate provisions and protect the organizations interests.
    • Draft review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts such as purchase agreements joint venture agreements licensing agreements and distribution agreements on behalf of clients.
    • Ensure that contracts align with clients objectives comply with legal requirements and protect their interests.
    • Advise clients on contract interpretation potential risks and recommended modifications.
    • Assist clients in structuring and negotiating mergers acquisitions structured finances and other corporate transactions.
    • Conduct due diligence investigations and prepare related reports to identify legal risks a issues.
    • Draft and review transactional documents including letters of intent shareholder agreements transaction agreements etc.
    • Preparation and filing of regulatory documents and applications related to corporate transactions.
    • Advise clients on corporate governance matters including board meetings shareholder rights and corporate structure.
    • Assist in the preparation and filing of corporate documents such as articles of incorporation by laws annual reports etc.
    • Ensure clients compliance with applicable laws regulations and corporate governance standards.
    • Stay informed about changes in corporate laws and regulations and provide guidance on their impact on the organization.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients serving as their trusted legal advisor.
    • Collaborate effectively with internal teams such as partners associates and support staff to deliver exceptional client service.
    • Proactively identify opportunities to provide valueadded legal services to clients and contribute to their business growth.
    • Identify legal risks and potential liabilities faced by the organization and develop strategies to mitigate and manage such risks.
    • Conduct legal research and analysis to support decisionmaking and risk assessment processes.


Requirements

Requirements

  • LLB degree from a recognised University.
  • Minimum 2 years post call experience as a lawyer with proven experience in corporate law.
  • Strong analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
  • Excellent drafting negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Sound business judgment and ability to balance legal risks with business objectives.
  • Familiarity with corporate governance principles and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience in mergers acquisitions and corporate transactions is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


Skills and Requirements: The requirements listed below are representative of the Knowledge, Skill and/or ability required to perform this job satisfactorily A Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree and a current practicing license in Nigeria. A minimum of four years of post-qualification experience, with a strong background in land title registration, conveyancing, and corporate law. Proficiency in relevant legal software and databases. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated and able to work independently.
