Laravel Developer - remote

Job Description

• Design and implement innovative and robust technical solutions
• Optimize database structure with millions of records
• Write and optimize MySQL queries to maximize performance and deliverability
• Build and test new API endpoints and refactor existing routes to improve performance and scalability
• Maintain, optimize and create new capabilities with backend MySQL databases
• Recommend and implement architecture improvements to scale application and add new functionality
• Work closely with the product and UX team to define new functionality
• Manage a pipeline of features, enhancements, and bugs and work in agile development philosophy with bi-weekly sprints

Job Requirements

• Significant development experience with PHP and Laravel. You've written code that is not only secure but scales to a large number of users.
• Production experience with MySQL. You've designed database schemas with an emphasis on scalability and performance.
• Experience working with large amounts of frequently updated data, and designing efficient schemas, is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Git and Bitbucket. You've collaborated with other developers on a project on Bitbucket.
• Experience using Linux systems. You're comfortable using the command line to troubleshoot issues on a server.
• Experience with AWS beneficial but not required
• Understanding of common web vulnerabilities. You're able to identify vulnerabilities through code reviews.
• Knowledge of other languages a strong plus.
• Good English communication skills.
• Organized, self-starter, and attention to detail are essential for this role.
