Laboratory Technician

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and handle laboratory specimens and samples.
• Perform Sample collection/ Phlebotomy for all ages and at remote needs of the center.
• Perform various test in hematology electrolyte testing biochemistry serology clinical pathology and microbiology following standard procedures.
• Sample processing as per defined SOPs in adherence to TAT / OTR (On time Report) .Maintain all quality parameters as per QC Norms.
• Record and analyze data and prepare reports.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
• Order and replenish laboratory supplies and chemicals.
• Collaborate with other team members and doctors as necessary.
• Keep accurate records of all work carried out in the laboratory.
• Perform routine quality control checks on equipment and reagents.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of laboratory protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Candidate must have either Diploma / Bachelor / Master Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology. (MLT)
• Proven experience working in a laboratory setting.
• Proficient in various laboratory techniques and procedures to run them independently
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Good organizational and time management abilities.
• Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and best practices.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Proficiency in using computer software for data analysis and recordkeeping.
• Adherence to ethical and professional standards in laboratory work.
• Strong initiative and willingness to learn new techniques and methods.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
