Qualifications Required: Bachelors degree (preference for Physical Education Early Childhood Education or related field) with a valid teaching certification. Passport from the UK Ireland US Canada New Zealand Australia South Africa or Singapore required for Work Permit purposes. A minimum of 2 years of experience teaching physical education to young children in a kindergarten or early childhood setting is preferred.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in teaching water confidence water safety and early swimming skills.

Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Physical Education Teacher and Coach to promote physical literacy outdoor play and healthy lifestyles. This role involves designing and implementing a comprehensive physical education curriculum coordinating outdoor play managing performance and participating in research and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Physical Education Instruction:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with our inquirybased approach.
• Plan and deliver ageappropriate lessons activities and games.
• Engage students in understanding the importance of physical activity and wellness.
• Outdoor Play Coordination:
• Support and guide teachers in organizing outdoor play sessions.
• Provide coaching on best practices for outdoor play including risk assessment and supervision.
• Performance Management and Appraisal:
• Meet performance standards and provide feedback to teachers on outdoor play and physical education strategies.
• Assist in the development of professional development plans for teachers.
• Research and Professional Development:
• Keep informed about current trends in physical education and early childhood development.
• Share knowledge and resources with teaching teams.
• Organize professional development sessions related to outdoor activity and play.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelors degree in a relevant field.
• Valid teaching certification.
• Experience in teaching physical education to young children.
• Strong understanding of inquirybased and playbased learning.
• Knowledge of best practices for physical literacy and active lifestyles.
• Excellent communication collaboration and coaching skills.
• Empathy care and enthusiasm for teacher support and positive learning environments.
