Junior Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities

Plan and implement new technologies for critical enterprisewide IT cloud platform projects. Design implement and deploy cloud computing systems to support and meet business needs. Identify recommend and implement opportunities for improvement and performance issue solutions.

Provide technical support and ensure reliable operation of cloud production. Diagnose and solve the issues for cloud computing systems on multiple platforms. Maintains comprehensive technical knowledge of software and infrastructure platforms.

Develop technical standards. Test and evaluate IT vendor products. Review configuration parameters to optimize system performance and enhance operation uptime

Elevate code into the development test and production environments on schedule. Provide follow up production support. Submit change control requests and documents.

Learn and understand client area business functions and requirements. Figure out appropriate technical tool to address the clients business needs.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues elevated from staff. Updates writes and maintains documentation for the department.

Administer system activities. Write the technical portion of assigned deliverables. Perform systems analysis including system requirements analysis and definition and logical design.

Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience working with AWS technologies ECS Docker Fargate EC2 Step functions CloudWatch etc.

Experience with Security stacks such as IAM Okta OIDC Auth0 Secrets Manager etc.

Understands software engineering standard processes (e.g. CICD automated pipelines Operational Excellence Information Security IAM)

Experience with application integration via APIs/REST API Gateways

Design and build costefficient cloudnative solutions for crossfunctional multiplatform internal and client facing applications

Ability to decipher complex ambiguous customer needs and translate into optimal feature delivery

Thinks in terms of architecture as well as code. Able to develop and evaluate solutions for strengths and weaknesses (e.g. complexity quality scalability latency security performance data integrity etc.).
