IT Project Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

The IT Project Manager will be responsible for driving strategic vision defining and achieving project outcomes and ensuring deliverables are met with a high standard of excellence. Duties include but may not be limited to:

Assume leadership and provide direction for diverse IT projects or program teams within the public sector institution.

Develop strategic project visions and focus on delivering tangible outcomes while managing multiple project requirements and constraints.

Establish clear attainable objectives project requirements and ensure milestones are reached effectively and efficiently.

Generate maintain and communicate critical project artifacts including Statements of Work (SOW) Scope Statements Project Schedules and Status Reports to ensure transparency and project alignment.

Handle project constraints related to cost time and scope applying robust project management principles and practices.

Forge and nurture close relationships with team members stakeholders and higherlevel management ensuring collaboration and effective communication.

Guide knowledge transfer processes to ensure continuity and understanding of project specifics among all team members and stakeholders.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

Five (5) years of substantive Project Management experience in IT particularly within the public sector or comparable environment.

Two (2) years of direct engagement with Project Sponsors Stakeholders Subject Matter Experts and Development Team Members.

One (1) year of handson experience using remote collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams Skype SharePoint etc. to facilitate teamwork and project coordination.

A demonstrated track record of managing projects that integrate data from multiple sources across an organization.

Prior involvement in the operation or management of a Project Management Office (PMO).

Proven competence in managing several projects concurrently with the ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines.

Proficiency with various project management methodologies including both traditional Waterfall and Agile frameworks and the aptitude to apply them where appropriate.

Exceptional ability to collaboratively define project scope goals and deliverables in conjunction with project sponsors and stakeholders.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor s Degree in Information Technology Computer Science Business Administration or a related field Required

Required Certifications:

Agile and Scrum Master Certifications Preferred

Other:

Local to Minnesota candidates preferred; Remote candidates will be considered.

US Citizens Preferred but Green Card candidates considered.
