Irrigation Technician Job Requirements and Responsibilities:
Properly utilize specified glue and primer to connect pipes to make them leak-proof;
work with fittings in underground sprinkler systems.
Carefully excavate sprinkler heads and pipes for repair; clean and clear the work area
after the job has been completed.
Rebuild and replace damaged valves and solenoid
Educate the customer on their system and the use of the controller as needed.
Irrigation License preferred
Drivers License in good standing and insurable
Must possess general knowledge of sprinkler systems maintenance and repairs; piping
and connection techniques.
Must be familiar with Rainbird and Hunter sprinkler controllers; can efficiently use and
set up various controllers.
Desired experience in working with routes, service stops, and meeting deadlines of
your service route.
Ability to work outside for long periods of time, sometimes in extreme temperatures.
Clean Driving record
Able to work in 2 man or 3 man crew and function as independent foreman
Must know how to trouble shoot irrigation, sprinkler and drainage issues
and fix issue on site. Including wiring of valves and controllers (3 or more
years experience)
Ability to work valve locator
Loads and unloads equipment and tools into work vehicles.
Drives work vehicles to and from sites.
Adheres to all safety precautions.
Full time permanent position. Monday-Friday 40 hours per week
Salary: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour
