Job Description

HiR is recruiting multiple roles for one of Australia and #x27;s largest IT consulting organisations.

Working with Tier 1 clients on infrastructure, primary resources, national security, defence and aerospace projects, you and #x27;ll provide consultation, system integration, infrastructure outsourcing and application services.

Infrastructure Engineer (Linux)

Responsibilities

  • Racking and stacking of hardware
  • Large Scale IT Cable management
  • Identifying attributes of the hardware e.g. HVAC, power requirements etc.
  • Developing repeatable install procedures for the environment, this includes documented artefacts such as As Built, Security, Standard Operating Procedures, and formal project documentation.
  • Building capabilities that will help manage the environment e.g. firmware updates

Essential Experience

  • Working within a VMware Deployed Software Defined Data Center (SDDC)
  • Previous deployment of hardware into a datacentre
  • Deployment and configuration of centralised management capabilities to manage equipment e.g. firmware updates
  • Working with a CMDB to track infrastructure assets
