Indirect Purchasing Manager

Mission &Function:

The Indirect Material Manager is responsible for overseeing the purchasing and strategic sourcing of indirect materials necessary for the smooth operation of Yazaki Egypt. The role involves developing and implementing purchasing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective and efficient processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Supplier Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.

• Evaluate supplier performance, address issues, and implement improvement plans to enhance overall supplier reliability and performance.

Purchasing Process:

• Oversee the end-to-end purchasing process for indirect materials, from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand departmental needs and requirements.

Cost Management:

• Analyze cost structures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement initiatives to improve overall cost-effectiveness.

• Negotiate favorable terms, discounts, and payment conditions with suppliers.

Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies in all purchasing activities.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to purchasing and supplier activities.
