Overview:

The Human Resources intern plays a crucial role in supporting the HR department by assisting with various HR functions and processes. This role is essential in providing administrative support contributing to recruitment efforts and helping to ensure the smooth operation of HRrelated activities within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the recruitment process by posting job openings reviewing resumes and scheduling interviews.
  • Conduct initial screenings of potential candidates to assess their fit for open positions.
  • Support employee onboarding and orientation processes.
  • Assist in maintaining HR records and documentation.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide support in employee relations matters and conflict resolution.
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating HR projects and initiatives.
  • Support the HR team in organizing and conducting training and development programs.
  • Assist with payroll and benefits administration.
  • Conduct research and contribute to HRrelated reports and presentations.
  • Participate in HR meetings and contribute to discussions and decisionmaking processes.
  • Help maintain a positive and productive work environment through various HR initiatives.
  • Assist with data entry and analysis for HR metrics and reports.
  • Contribute to adhoc HR tasks and projects as needed.
  • Support the HR team in maintaining compliance with labor regulations and company policies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters degree program in Human Resources Business Administration Psychology or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of HR principles practices and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Detailoriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Knowledge of HRIS or HR software is a plus.
  • Understanding of diversity equity and inclusion principles is preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms for recruiting purposes.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to a fastpaced and dynamic work environment.
  • Willingness to commit to a fulltime internship for a specified duration.
