We are currently sourcing a dedicated HSE Inspector with prior experience in Oil and Energy Power or Construction sectors for an essential role in Germany.

This position is crucial for overseeing the transition of a coalbased plant to a Power Station Plant ensuring the highest standards of health safety and environmental compliance are maintained throughout the projects lifecycle.

Tasks

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform rigorous onsite HSE inspections and audits focusing on the unique requirements of converting a coalbased plant to a Power Station Plant.
  • Identify hazards assess risks and implement preventive and corrective measures to ensure project safety and environmental compliance.
  • Develop and enforce HSE inspection protocols and checklists tailored to the projects specific needs and industry standards.
  • Lead thorough incident investigations to identify root causes and enforce measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Organize and deliver HSE training sessions to staff and contractors emphasizing the safety regulations and practices critical to the projects success.
  • Maintain accurate HSE documentation including reports on inspections incidents and compliance activities fostering a culture of transparency and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Internationally recognized HSE Management qualification (e.g. BSC NEBOSH) or a Masters degree in HSE with a preference for candidates with an engineering background.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in HSE roles within the Oil and Energy Power or Construction sectors ideally with exposure to plant conversion projects.
  • Businesslevel proficiency in English and German.
  • Familiarity with standard office software (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook) and HSE management systems.

Desirable Skills:

  • Proven ability to identify and mitigate risks in highstakes environments.
  • Strong leadership skills with the capacity to influence a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills capable of working effectively with diverse teams.
  • A proactive detailoriented approach to safety management with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

Work Environment:

This role is exclusively onsite in Germany focusing on the conversion of a coalbased plant to a Power Station Plant. Candidates must be prepared for fieldwork adhering to all safety protocols and standards.
