We are currently looking for an experienced HSE Permit to Work Coordinator for a massive undertaking in Germany.

Tasks

The HSE Permit to Work Coordinator is a critical role responsible for overseeing and managing the Permit to Work (PTW) system within health safety and environmental (HSE) parameters. This role ensures the safety and compliance of all operational activities fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop implement and maintain the PTW system ensuring all work permits are issued in accordance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments job safety analyses and ensure that all work activities have the appropriate safety and environmental controls in place.
  • Serve as the focal point for all PTW activities coordinating between project management operational teams and HSE personnel to ensure seamless operation and compliance.
  • Oversee the daily PTW coordination meetings ensuring efficient communication and resolution of any permitrelated issues.
  • Audit and review the PTW process identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring compliance with internal and external HSE regulations.
  • Promote and enforce the Stop Work Authority ensuring all personnel are empowered to halt work activities that pose an immediate risk to health safety or the environment.
  • Ensure all personnel involved in PTW activities are trained and competent in their roles and responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Safety Management Environmental Science or a related field.
  • Professional HSE certifications (e.g. NEBOSH BSC) are highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in HSE roles within the oil gas power plants or construction sectors with specific experience managing PTW systems.
  • Strong knowledge of health safety and environmental regulations applicable to the aforementioned industries.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with proficiency in German and English.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams fostering a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite and familiar with HSE management systems and software.

Desirable Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in conducting HSE audits and inspections.
  • Ability to work effectively in a highpressure environment.
