A day in the role:

In this role youll find yourself leading HR initiatives collaborating with crossfunctional teams and ensuring that our organizations HR strategies align with its overall business objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities


Leadership:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the HR team fostering a highperformance and collaborative work environment.

  • Mentor and support HR team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.

  • Drive the development and implementation of HR strategies aligned with the companys overall business objectives.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team offering insights on company culture and values.

Recruitment:

  • Oversee the recruitment and selection process including job postings interviewing and hiring.

  • Hire and negotiate salaries for Senior consultants and above levels.

  • Maintain relationships with recruitment agencies and other stakeholders.

Operations:

  • Oversee payroll operations to enhance accuracy and timeliness of employee payments while ensuring strict compliance with applicable laws and regulations governing payroll taxes benefits and labor laws.

  • Manage resignations and exits within the organization.

  • Investigate and mediate disputes between employees and management.

  • Manage employee relations issues including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.

Resource Management:

  • Document the current utilization of resources including tracking their project assignments workloads and availability.

  • Manage and handle leaves of resources ensuring proper scheduling and backup plans to maintain operational continuity.

  • Plan and forecast when resources will be projectready and billable aligning their availability with the companys project demands.

Policy Documentation:

  • Stay up to date on changes in HR legislation and best practices and make recommendations for updates to HR policies and procedures as necessary.

  • Foster a workplace environment that is compliant with the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) regulations.

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in alignment with relevant laws and regulations including immigration and data privacy compliance.

International HR (Added Advantage):

  • Leverage international HR experience to address global HR challenges and ensure compliance with international labor laws policies and procedures with a focus on the USA and Canada.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for management of career progression and performance evaluation processes.

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to grasp the companys culture and values and actively cultivate a consistent organizational culture aligned with these principles.



Requirements


  • Bachelors /Master s degree in HR Business Administration or a related field

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in HR with a focus on payroll and grievance handling

  • Indepth knowledge of HR laws regulations and best practices

  • Thorough knowledge of labour laws HR best practices in Canada and USA will be an added advantage

  • Strong communication interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office HRIS systems and payroll software
