Purpose of the role:

To assist Network Manager running and developing Collinson Global Network from a Multivendor environment to a single Security and single LAN partner. To simplify where possible and evolve to a Wireless first philosophy.

Assist the Network Manager with the outsource Partner collaborating to ensure BAU resolutions meet SLA. To understand business requirements from a customer perspective and deliver excellent Network experience.

Liaise with EUC and Service desk to develop internal skillset and assist with the development of their skillset or identify vendor training where more appropriate.

Deputise for Global Manager during periods of absence.

Main Responsibilities

• Own the Network Along with the Network Manager help to provide a stable platform that allows the company to grow and develop.
• Work with Networks Service Partner to ensure diagrams and documentation are maintained and current.
• Work with the Network Manager in planning and delivery of projects Globally to meet required deadlines to build standard.
• Transition Projects into support with required documentation and overview to aid support team understanding.
• Understand the Key relationships within the Collinson business.
• Identify Better ways of working. While we aim for stability we look to identify emerging technological advancements.
• Own equipment Life cycle to ensure we are in the best possible position to refresh the Network as required.
• Own Patching and vulnerability alerts. We are a multivendor estate so need to be aware of ALL security alerts across the Network equipment and how these may impact.
• Develop relationship with Partners (Internal and external) EUC and Service desk.
• Evaluate new Technology and products. To understand what technological advances may benefit us as a business and how we can maintain a competitive position.

Wireless Networking Certified to Professional level. (ACP/CCNP)

Network LAN / WAN Certified to Professional level. (ACP/CCNP)

Firewall trained/ certified (PNCSA/PNCSE)

Experience in Cisco (Meraki) Extreme Juniper and Fortinet.
