Job Description

- Input and update spatial data into GIS databases using appropriate software tools.
- Perform data digitization conversion and manipulation tasks to create accurate maps and geographic information layers.
- Conduct quality control checks on GIS data to ensure accuracy completeness and consistency.
- Assist in the creation of maps charts and visualizations for use in reports presentations and decisionmaking.
- Collaborate with GIS team members and other departments to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
- Maintain and update GIS databases files and records according to established standards and procedures.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to GIS software data and systems.
- Follow best practices and guidelines for data management storage and security.
- Stay informed about new GIS technologies tools and methodologies through selfstudy and training.
- Provide support and training to users on GIS software and applications as needed.
Requirements
Qualification:
1. Msc/MTech in geography / geoinformatics / Remote Sensing and GIS
2. Min 12years of experience in GIS domain Required
1. Hands On experience with GIS Software Like
1. ArcGIS 10.4 10.8 2. QGIS
3. AutoCAD
2. Good Communication
Skills 3. Quality assessment and Quality Checking
4. Topology and geoprocessing
5. Documenting and preparing the process
6. Compile and refine GIS data from a variety of sources including public domain field collection satellite imagery and existing maps Good to Have
1. GIS data management using PostGIS 2. Model builder
