Overview:

The Foreman plays a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating construction projects. They are responsible for managing and supervising construction workers ensuring that projects are completed on time within budget and in compliance with safety regulations. The Foreman acts as a liaison between the project manager and construction team providing guidance and support to ensure successful project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage construction crew onsite
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Coordinate with project manager and subcontractors
  • Provide daily progress reports to the project manager
  • Schedule and oversee deliveries of materials and equipment
  • Implement and enforce quality control and workplace policies
  • Resolve any issues or disputes that may arise onsite
  • Train and mentor new or inexperienced workers
  • Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
  • Manage work schedules and allocate tasks efficiently
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is being completed according to specifications
  • Participate in project planning and budgeting
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate project documentation
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines and deadlines
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address any concerns or modifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a construction foreman or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes tools and equipment
  • Excellent leadership and supervisory skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fastpaced environment
  • Aptitude for training and mentoring junior staff
  • Understanding of budgeting and project management principles
  • Adherence to quality and safety standards
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
  • Certification in construction management or related field is a plus
