Finance and Operations Officer

Financial Reporting

• Prepare regular financial reports on grants for donors working closely with AUC’s grants accounting office, using data from internal accounting systems
• Track and monitor the financial performance of grants and contracts to ensure compliance with AUC and sponsor policies and consistency with approved award budget
• Perform budget forecasts and financial analyses
• Provide interim reports to J-PAL MENA senior management including spending compared to budget, spending rates, and projections comparing available resources to project needs

Grants Management

• Develop budgets for proposals in collaboration with technical team
• Develop, execute, manage, and closeout research subawards with project partners, working with AUC’s Office of Sponsored Programs
• Submit proposals into AUC’s systems while also ensuring compliance with donor requirements and formats
• Establish sub-awards and partnership agreements
• Ensure J-PAL MENA research, research operations, and policy staff who manage individual projects are aware of all necessary grant requirements and timelines
• Advise Principal Investigators on matters pertaining to grant administration that may affect research
