Red Ember Recruitment is seeking to hire a Fashion Accessory Planner and Procurement Specialist for a client based in Sandton.
- Demand Planning: Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including product development sales
and marketing to develop accurate demand forecasts for fashion accessories based on historical
data market trends and customer insights. - Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels to optimize stock levels and minimize excess
- inventory ensuring availability of products while avoiding overstock situations.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
and vendors to negotiate favorable terms pricing and delivery schedules. - Procurement: Source and procure materials components and finished goods from domestic and
international suppliers ensuring quality standards are met while maintaining costeffectiveness. - Production Planning: Coordinate with manufacturing partners to develop production schedules
that align with demand forecasts and delivery timelines optimizing efficiency and minimizing lead
times.
Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate with quality control teams to establish and enforce quality standards throughout the procurement and production processes ensuring that all fashion accessories meet our companys quality requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify potential supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions such as sourcing alternative suppliers or implementing inventory buffers.
Market Research:
- Stay informed about industry trends competitor activities and market dynamics to anticipate changes in consumer preferences and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the merchandising marketing and sales teams to develop effective strategies for product promotion and sales.
CTravel:
- Attend trade shows fashion events and sourcing trips to stay informed about industry trends and developments.
Ability to travel as needed.
Requirements
Post Graduate degree i.e. Bachelors
Minimum of 2 years of experience in demand planning procurement or supply chain
management preferably within the fashion accessory industry.
Skills:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data forecast demand and identify
trends.
Strong understanding of fashion trends consumer behavior and market dynamics.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain
relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems with experience in
forecasting and inventory management modules.
Detailoriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality.
Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
A proactive approach to problemsolving and a willingness to take initiative to drive
continuous improvement.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with inventory management
software.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
