ESG Legislation and Policy Expert

There are not many downsides to new laws and regulations being introduced to ensure we have a sustainable future and people of the world work under fair conditions. But one that comes to mind is trying to keep up with them! Its a full time job.

Hence our need for an internal expert to ensure our team and customers are constantly up to date with new developments around ESG and CSR policy.

Tasks

As part of a small product team you are the one source of truth for all things ESG policy and regulations youll have your finger on the pulse of new global developments you will

• Continuously monitor global policies and legislation relating to sustainability in fashion supply chains
• Run training and workshops for internal teams to keep everyone up to date on current and new developments
• Work with the product team to feedback relevant changes enabling them to develop features to further improve the platform
• Build and maintain a repository of ESG legislation and resources for internal reference and learning
• Closely collaborate with marketing to build content and collateral relevant to current market trends
• Be the internal consultant on ESG Policy and Legislation maintaining a regular feedback loop with department leads
• Answering ad hoc questions and supporting all colleagues

Requirements

• Full fluency in English (Written and spoken) is required German would be a nice to have
• You want to make a difference
• Laser focused research skills with an awareness of where to go to find the relevant information
• Existing experience is Global ESG Policy and Regulations
• Knowledge of any of the following: German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act the French AGEC Law the European CSDDD
• If you have held a consulting role already relating to ESG/CSR this would be advantageous
• ESG Audit and/or Legal background beneficial
• Fashion or textile industry experience preferred
• Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail
• You are a digital native and are able to quickly adapt to existing software tools and platforms
• We are happy for you to work remotely but it would be great if you were close enough to spend some time with your colleagues in the office
• Experience working in a startup environment would be a bonus
