Job Title: Enterprise Architect

Job Description:
The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for architecting and implementing or rearchitecting the existing configuration management tool to fully integrate with SNOW CMDB (ServiceNow Configuration Management Database) and introduce automation. The role will involve developing standards for Playbooks or Cookbooks to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
Role:
The Configuration Management Architect will interact with IT project management developers enterprise architects production support and other team members and vendors. They will be responsible for developing standard automated reporting to identify the health of agents and any potential drift within the system.
Qualifications (Must Haves):
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration and networking.
- Proficiency in YAML Jinja2 Python Ruby and Shell scripting.
- 8 years of experience in Software Engineering & Systems Architecture.
- Experience in legacy and current technology platforms (Unix AIX Windows Mainframe Linux).
- Experience architecting the solution from the ground up as well as rearchitecting an existing tool.
Nice to Have (Optional):
- Ideal candidate has a mix of technical and business skills and a passion for problemsolving.
- Working experience with IaaS SaaS and PaaS.
- Experience with integrating a configuration management tool into SNOW.
- Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) and working in an agile project methodology.
Daily Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Design implement and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles for application deployment configuration and lifecycle management.
- Utilize the selected tool for centralized management logging rolebased access control and workflow automation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and architect automation solutions that align with company goals.
- Train and mentor team members on best practices related to configuration management and automation.
- Monitor automation processes ensuring their reliability and efficiency.
- Document all automation workflows including playbook or cookbook creation and maintenance procedures.
- Continuously evaluate the latest modules plugins and features to leverage in automation solutions.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any issues in the infrastructure related to automation.
- Promote a culture of automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) within the organization.
