Embedded AOSP Team Lead

• Provide expert technical guidance and leadership to a team of skilled Software Engineers specializing in Embedded Android Open Source Project (AOSP) Development.
  
• Ensure the teams success in delivering highquality solutions for automotive medical devices and consumer electronics.
  
• Leverage your indepth knowledge of the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) to design and implement Androidbased solutions meeting customer requirements.
  
• Stay uptodate with AOSP developments and apply best practices.
  
• Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and maintain Android Operating System (OS) expertise.
  
• Foster a culture of excellence in code quality within the team.
  
• Drive process improvements within the team and contribute to defining the technology roadmap in alignment with the companys strategic goals.
  
• Continuously seek opportunities for optimization and innovation.
  
• Participate in the development communication and implementation of software development policies procedures and best practices to maintain consistency and efficiency.
  
• Collaborate effectively with other internal team leaders and crossfunctional teams to ensure successful project execution.
  
• Engage with customers as necessary to understand and address their needs.
  
• Create and maintain an optimal working environment for the Software Engineers by providing the necessary tools resources and guidance to facilitate their productivity.
  
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders including the Regional Engineering Manager and the Engineering Team providing updates on team progress and addressing any issues or challenges.
  
• Support the recruitment of Software Engineers oversee their onboarding and take responsibility for their professional development through mentoring and skillbuilding opportunities.
  
• Coordinate and cooperate with all project developers project management and various development teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
  

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Cyber Security Information and Communication Technology or a related field.
  
• At Least 5 years of experience in embedded software development with at least 2 years in a leadership role in a hightech environment.
  
• Strong background in Android application development Android OS Board Support Package (BSP) Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) Linuxbased operating systems and proficiency in C/C and/or Java programming.
  
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing Androidbased solutions with a deep understanding of Android Open Source Project (AOSP).
  
• Experience in a continuous integration environment and familiarity with integrating with build systems like Yocto Buildroot or others.
  
• Strong version control skills using SVN GIT or similar tools.
  
• Indepth experience in software development including objectoriented programming and agile methodologies.
  
• Solid scripting skills in languages such as bash python or others.
  
• Enthusiasm for working with embedded hardware.
  
• Excellent team player with experience collaborating in international teams.
  
• Responsible and valueoriented communication with colleagues employees and customer contacts.
