Job Overview

Our Australian client is the leading share boat company, with 40 vessels under management across 3 Sydney locations + Hamilton Island. They are currently seeking passionate, energetic, and friendly dock staff for their Bayview, Clontarf, and Bobbin Head locations. A keen eye for detail and strong customer service skills are a must along with a genuine interest and affinity for boats and people.

Key Responsibilities

As the face of the business and the first point of contact for many of our boat owners, our dock staff are integral to the day-to-day operation by providing an exceptional level of customer service to our boat owners and maintaining our fleet to the highest standard.

• Preparation and cleaning of vessels
• Meeting and greeting of boat owners and assisting with requests
• Assisting owners with berthing, including berthing the vessel for them
• Driving the tender
• Re-fuelling and pump-outs of boats
• General maintenance of vessels
• Detailing vessels, including polishing, waxing and teak treatments
• General marina duties and maintenance
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe workplace

Shifts are rostered in 4 day blocks across 7 days of the week. 1 day of Weekend availability is necessary. Training will be provided for the right candidate, with the possibility of job progression based on performance.

Requirements

• Keen eye for detail
• Energetic and enthusiastic
• Friendly and experienced in customer service
• Experience in the marine industry is desirable, but not essential - Australian general boat licence
• BIA Marine Card, or willing to obtain
• Australian Drivers Licence and own car
• You must have the right to work in Australia
