Director Technology Delivery & Change Role summary:
Mobile Payment Gateway aka MPG is a critical system within MA that allows financial inclusion for a country like Egypt by promoting wallet to wallet and at times other form factors related transactions. The system enjoys being No 1 P2P processor in MA by virtue of handling c 12 million volumes per day and c 2 billion financial volumes in a year and all these growing spirally YOY basis.

This is all achievable by running a healthy ecosystem created between MA core systems MPG as well as external entities including UIGs local payment processor EBC and Egypt regulators like Mezza.

This requires a high degree of technology governance change management amongst all entities.

The incumbent is expected to understand MA good and compliance and drive that effectively within the ecosystem to ensure all deliverables are of extreme good quality and delivered without any defects and within time and costs despite having external entities and disparate systems and controls.

Location: Cairo in Egypt

In addition to that the incumbent needs to develop relationship and work in tandem with the other entities including MA core Regional Solutions Engineering Technical Account management Business Operations and Tech Program Management teams right from the PI till the end of the all PI sprints to ensure tech governance and compliance as well as deliveries are aligned with the market expectations and MA tech compliance.

The role is also expected to own and function on items like

• 3 Lines of defence aka 3LOD to ensure cent percent risk management and mitigation in coordination with the TRM teams within MA as well as the delivery units.

Growth and volume forecast for MPG on a YOY basis and also ensuring these are broken into smaller actions and tasks to meet the requirements

• Act as eyes and ears to the regional teams including product markets CTS. BizOps and CIS to name a few there could be others.
• Setup good governance cadence with the external entities within the ecosystem to ensure change is delivered well including change from MA as well as these partners
• Use appropriate methods and channels like reporting and information visualization to keep all stakeholders abreast of what is coming and what guardrails are in place to ensure a defectfree and incidentfree delivery of the requirement
• Provide leadership cover for other technology resources locally ensuring a career growth plan for them as per MA PnC guidelines around talent and grooming
• Oversee some of the Operations procedures and deliverables locally till the time a permanent Operations role is established for the market.
• Be the face of the Regional Solutions team and at times face of the larger Market and Localization at a local level.
• The role will also play a key role in the multiyear technology transformation of MPG under the NextGen banner which is expected to kickoff in 2024
• Will own create agree and socialize the ecosystem part of the RS and MPG objectives as well as local objectives and ensure these are reported and delivered in tandem with the larger program objectives.

Role in detail:
In this position you will responsible for helping deliver and refining the technology strategy financial planning establishing delivery plans and overseeing the execution and delivery of program objectives.
You will work with a team of technology professionals to build launch and support operations of a Mobile Payment Gateway platform for several countries in the MEA region.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for developing and delivering on Product/Solution roadmaps for the portfolio of services within a program

Supervising and coaching teams responsible for the Software Development of a portfolio of shared business services that are used across multiple products and domains.

Working closely with business owners and other technology teams to define the roadmap for owned services and drive execution.

Helping identify coach and groom top talent and proactively develops employees as organizational resources and the respective functions compliance to goal setting and performance appraisal process.

Providing strategic thinking and leadership related to a wide range of applications and systems or softwaredevelopment methodologies.

Setting the vision for an environment of ingenuity and creativity and acts as a role model for others in challenging the status quo to encourage innovation.

Driving change across processes practices and technology within the organization by building a high calibre team that can deliver effectively and be a role model for the rest of the organization.

Helping deliver refine and communicate the vision of the next generation architecture to the rest of the organization

Incumbent skills and capabilities expected
Product management experience defining and communicating the vision strategy roadmaps and milestones for a portfolio of services.

Technology delivery experience with successful track record and demonstrated thoughtleadership and crossfunctional influence and partnership within an agile development environment.
Recent handson experience with current technologies and thorough understanding of development methodologies and standards.

Bachelor/Masters Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience with exposure to Technology Systems Delivery.

Experienced in leading and delivering large projects from concept to implementation including selecting talent and planning/allocating resources across multiple geographies and functions.

Comfortable with working in a fast paced environment with some ambiguity and evolving products services and approaches as necessary. Experience working in startups would be a plus.
